  Green, Black and White Rice (Serves 6)

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons salad oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 10 almonds or walnut, chopped
  • 1 cup uncooked Dainty Rice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package frozen Lima beans
  • 1/2 cup black olives
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 tablespoon butter

    Cooking Instructions:

    1) Fry the onion and the nuts in the hot salad oil until golden brown. Add the rice until it is coated with the oil.

    2) Add the remaining ingredients (it is not necessary to thaw out the lima beans). Bring to the boil. Cover and cook 15 minutes over medium heat. Take away from the heat and let stand 5 minutes without covering. Add a tablespoon of butter just before serving.
