Discover the versatility of Premium Calrose Rice. Plump and tender grains, perfect for sushi
rolls and rice puddings.

 
COOKING DIRECTIONS

1. Bring 500 ml (2 cups) of water to a vigorous boil in a saucepan that has a tight fitting lid.
2. Add 250 ml (1 cup) of Calrose Extra Fancy Rice. Optional: 5 ml (1 tsp.)
salt, 15 ml (1 tbsp.) butter or margarine.
Cover saucepan.
3. Cook over very low heat for 15 minutes without removing lid.
Remove saucepan from heat and allow to stand, cover, for 3 to 5 minutes.

DAINTY CALROSE RICE RECIPE IDEA:

Prepare SUSHI Rice:

4 Cups of Dainty Calrose Rice. 4 Cups of water. (Provides about 8 Rolls of Sushi)

1. 4 cups of rice in large pot. Rinse repeatedly with cold water until water is clear.
2. Add 4 cups of fresh water to rice and 1/2 Cup of SU (Rice Vinegar). Let stand for half hour.
3. With heat on "high" bring to vigorous boil for 1 minute. Cover pot tightly, turn to "low".
Simmer 20 minutes.
4. Remove from heat, let stand for 10 minutes more.
