  Stuffed Green Peppers (Serves 6)

Ingredients:

  • 3 large green peppers
  • 1 lbs. Lean ground beef
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 tablespoon each onion powder and ground black pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 can (450 g) tomato sauce
  • 2 teaspoons beef bouillon

    Instructions:

    Wash peppers. Cut in half lengthwise. Remove seeds and white membrane. Precook Peppers in boiling water for 5 minutes; drain. In mixing bowl combine meat, rice, seasoning, egg and 1/2 cup tomato sauce. Mound mixture in peppers halves. Place in shallow baking dish. Stir bouillon into remaining tomato sauce. Spoon over peppers. Bake, uncovered for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
