  Tex-Mex Rice (Serves 6)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup each chopped onions and green pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 3 tablespoon butter, margarine or oil
  • 2 teaspoons each salt and chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoons beef bouillon powder
  • 3 cups cooked Dainty rice

    Instructions:

    Saute onions, green peppers, and celery in butter until vegetables are tender crisp. Add seasonings, tomatoes, and beef base. Stir to dissolve beef base. Add rice. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until flavors are blended.
